At our initial consultation, we will review the problems that brought you to treatment and conduct a thorough assessment of your history. By the end of the appointment, we may agree to a tentative plan on treatment. If you would benefit from a different setting or team approach to best address your needs, we will discuss what type of care would be most helpful.
In therapy, we’ll work together to better understand your feelings, the experiences that have shaped them, and how to share your needs in a way that is respectful of yourself and the people around you. Over time, this process can help you feel more at ease and accepting of yourself. You may also notice your relationships becoming more real and fulfilling.
I work from a relational psychodynamic perspective, which means the therapeutic relationship is an important means of growth. Together, we can explore how patterns in your relationships may emerge within our work and use this understanding to support change. When appropriate, I also draw on approaches from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy to tailor treatment to your unique needs.
$500 for 75 minute initial consultation
$400 for 45 minute follow-up appointments (usually weekly)
I am not in-network with insurance. Often insurance companies have limitations on the type, frequency, and length of treatment you can receive. This allows us to tailor your treatment to what your needs are.
Many insurance plans allow for out-of-network reimbursement (often 50-80% of the cost). You can check with your insurance plan about your out-of-network benefits. I can provide you a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance, and they will reimburse you directly.
